Sake House Yu Me Ya in Encinitas and Hillcrest

Enjoying a meal at our Hillcrest restaurant
Pictured above: Mom and Dad (at left) dine at the Hillcrest location!

Yumeya, which means House of Dreams, represents our family's dream (Dad, Mom, and 2 sisters) to provide traditional Japanese home-style cooking straight to you. Dad is the main owner and chef of the Sake House. He grew up in the Kagawa (Sanuki) region of Japan; an area famous for their udon noodles. Mom creates all of the amazing sauces, soups and unique dishes at the Sake House, which is brought fresh to the Hillcrest location. We also offer a very large variety of sake from different regions of Japan to accommodate your specific taste desires.

We have a casual and comfortable atmosphere with Japanese animation (anime), playing on the set, and reggae music to groove on while you eat.

We hope you enjoy our food as much as we enjoy putting our heart into providing consistent, quality and authentic home-style Japanese cuisine to you. Enjoy our meal!
